Day of Caring would not be possible without our Lead Sponsor, Truist- who used to give under BB&T, and has been contributing to this event for over 20 years. Also our Corporate Sponsor Genworth- who not only made a financial contribution, but also supplied one of the largest amount of volunteers. Thank you for supporting this event that benefits so many!
We'd also like to recognize our luncheon sponsor, Sodexo, who has been generously donating this lunch for as long as we can remember.They always work around Liberty commencement, and come out and supply box lunches for those volunteers working hard at their sites, and the epic buffet lunch for volunteers at the stadium- this year for over 700 people!
And a GIANT thanks to the Hillcats and the City of Lynchburg for donating the use of the stadium, the drinks for the luncheon, and the time and energy in hosting us for this big day! So much support all around!

And FINALLY- we thank YOU. This year 39 non-profits submitted over 80 projects and we had around 700 volunteers sign-up from 19 local businesses. WOW. Can you even believe how awesome that support is for Central VA? Big shout outs to Genworth, L3 Harris, and Framatome for coordinating our largest groups this year. United Way of Central VA is so proud to host this annual event, which for 2024, totaled an amazing 2,372 contributed volunteer hours!
As you all know- UWCV supports 25 partner agencies, but Day of Caring assists even more non-profits in need of support and services. It is such a privilege to support this event for 31 years, and we are so grateful for your support and hard work!
