The Imagination Library through United Way of Central Virginia, is offered to children from birth through age five who reside in the counties of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford or Campbell.
In Central Virginia, too many children begin kindergarten already behind in early literacy skills. We know that early exposure to books is one of the strongest predictors of future academic success — and long-term opportunity.
Through Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, children in our community receive one high-quality, age-appropriate book mailed directly to their home each month from birth to age five — at no cost to their families.
