LYNCHBURG, Va. (WSET) — The United Way of Central Virginia is hosting their annual Bowl-A-Thon January 19!

The event is a bowling competition that supports 26 local area agencies who provide 38 critical programs and services throughout Central Virginia.

The programs impact and assist residents of Amherst, Appomattox, Bedford and Campbell Counties, as well as the city of Lynchburg.

The theme of this years bowling event is Glow Bowl and you can join the fun on January 19 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the AMF Lynchburg Lanes.

It’s $50 per person or $250 per team.

Every bowler on a team (teams of five) will go and collect pledges and then arrive ready to bowl and have a good time on January 19.

You can sign up by downloading the forms and dropping them off at the United Way of Central Virginia Office. You can also email them to jennifer.jones@unitedwaycv.org.

January 7 is the deadline for reserving a time slot and t-shirt.

You can pick up your t-shirt on January 18, and prepare to bowl the next day.
