CAMPBELL CO., Va. (WSET) – All aboard! “Gus the Learning Bus” is coming to two neighborhoods in Campbell County. United Way in Lynchburg explains that “Gus the Learning Bus” is a mobile preschool classroom.

On the bus you’ll find blocks, puzzles, dolls, and plenty of books.

For the last several years they’ve taken it to community events throughout central Virginia.

Currently they are partnering with Campbell County Schools to identify two locations that need additional support when it comes to early learning.

“Of course this is giving all children those opportunities for early learning experiences to be on the same level with their peers when they get to kindergarten,” said Kimberly Maddox, the Smart Beginnings quality and transition coordinator.

This program is for infants through age five. You do not have to register.
