GIVE

Your Attention! Your Time! Yourself!

Thanks to the generous contributions of our Corporate Keystone Partners, 100% of your donation to the General Fund goes directly to the critical programs that shape our community!

The General Fund is the most powerful way to invest your contribution and influence the condition of all.

How? Your investment is combined with the investments of other generous individuals and companies to support the best package of human service programs available in the region. Experienced volunteers work together to understand the most pressing needs in the community and invest in the best programs to solve those issues. Every program funded through the General Fund is monitored, evaluated and measured for effectiveness. This way, United Way of Central Virginia can validate that your investment gets results and makes a difference.  This really is the best way to give!

Leadership Giving

Leadership gifts are an opportunity to affirm both your leadership and commitment to building a more caring community and to join with others in making a significant and lasting impact.  By setting this example, you inspire the compassion and generosity of others.

VOLUNTEER

Lend a hand! Open your heart!

Your time and talents will help improve lives when you volunteer to help others in our community. Each day, thousands of people like you make their caring count by helping health and human service agencies with a wide range of tasks. You could serve our community as a counselor, a tutor, a companion to the elderly, a board or committee member, or in many other ways by volunteering with one of our community’s helping agencies.

Our volunteers use the GetConnected System to learn about opportunities to make a difference.  Click below to learn more about GetConnected!

GET CONNECTED

Your Gateway To Volunteering With The United Way of Central Virginia

The United Way of Central Virginia’s GetConnected system connects organizations in need with volunteers to help them.  Please explore more information about how you can use GetConnected to make a difference in your community.

United Way of Central Virginia needs YOU to advocate for our organization, for the 28 health and human service agencies with which we partner and for the more than 60,000 Central Virginians who we helped last year alone. Go to city and town council meetings, learn about the issues that are important to you, talk to your neighbors about the building blocks of a good life and how you can work together to ensure all Central Virginians have access to them.

Together, as one, we can bring HOPE for the future and the POWER to change the present.  You can be part of the change
