United Way Of Central Virginia Organizes Food Drive For The Month Of October

UNITED WAY OF CENTRAL VIRGINIA ORGANIZES FOOD DRIVE FOR THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
The United Way of Central Virginia (UWCV) has kicked off its annual October Food Drive with collection boxes hosted at more than 80 locations in Lynchburg and the surrounding counties. Donations of food may also be brought directly to UWCV at 1010 Miller Park Square in Lynchburg. What better way to celebrate the upcoming holiday season than by helping a neighbor?
“Our goal for this year’s food drive is to collect at least 15,000 pounds of food,” stated Amy Fisher, Director of Operations at UWCV and coordinator of this year’s food drive. “The food will be distributed to thirteen local food banks and pantries just in time for the holiday season. We appreciate our business partners and team of volunteers who are making this happen.”

DAWN (Donation-A-Week-Neighbor)
